Pretty much perfect. The yurt is in a great location, looking out to Cynwyd Forest and the valleys around it. Everything you need and more is there, with proper facilities for cooking and washing up, to being able to buy fire wood, kindling and fire starters on site. It takes the headache out of some back-to-basics breaks. The yurt is very comfortable, warm and well furnished and was plenty big enough for the two of us and our two labradors.

Shayne and Nathan were great friendly hosts, and along with their dog and chickens, made us feel very welcome.

We only stayed for two nights, but we've come away relaxed and refreshed and would definitely recommend Shayne & Nathan's yurt. We could easily have stayed for longer and we'll be back next year for sure, having only done a handful of the walks available to us.

Would definitely recommend this stay to anybody. Beautiful forest location as described with amazing Mountain View’s and so easy to get to following the sat nav. It was snowing during our visit which made staying in the yurt so cosy and it was lovely to watch the birds and other natural wildlife in the snow whilst sipping our morning brew. Nathan was so friendly and helpful responding quickly to our messages and answering any queries we had. We didn’t manage to meet Shayne this time but hopefully we will see them both next time we book as we will sure be revisiting this yurt multiple times this year! Thankyou both for an amazing weekend :)

Shayne and Nathan were superb hosts- nothing was ever too much trouble and they thought of everything. The yurt was clean and designed so well- absolutely loved our stay there- definitely be great to go back in the summer time. It had been snowing during our visit but the yurt itself was so warm and cosy we looked forward to our cosy nights in after a day of exploring. Kitchen has everything you need and so interesting how they generate own energy. Really is a relaxing stay away- missing it already! Definitely a chilled eco friendly mini break! Will be recommending to all friends and family!

We had such a wonderful stay. Surrounded by nature, it was incredibly peaceful—exactly what we needed to switch off from busy everyday life.The yurt experience was amazing—cozy, unique, and surprisingly comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped, which made it easy for us to cook all our meals, from breakfast through to dinner, and really settle into the space.We were travelling on foot and it took about 20–30 minutes to walk from Cynwyd town to the stay, which we found totally manageable and part of the charm of being tucked away in nature.If you’re looking for a relaxing escape where you can unwind and recharge, this place is perfect. We left feeling completely refreshed.
