We have strong traditional connections to Yurts and also had the chance to have a look at Shayne & Nathan's cob house. My partner grew up in a cob house, and I fond of history and art, so this place was a perfect choice to reconnect our background, wind down, spend night next to the fire, in a cosy yurt, having a good bottle of wine and wonderful conversations. We truly experienced what it means slowing down (especially it was still in the short, dark winter days) and pay more attention to the details.
The yurt was so cosy, with plenty of spare blankets, lovely light and craftsmanship. The location is beautiful, the spot is nice and private. It was pretty rainy and windy, but the yurt stood these well and felt absolutely safe inside - but not separated from nature.
We came by bus and walked up from the village to the location. It is uphill, so be prepared if you have the same idea, but it is definitely not too much, just a good exercise starting your adventure. Follow the instructions, and when you see the wind turbine and the yurts, you can be sure you are at the right place!
We hope to come back soon again,
