    • My husband and I have celebrated our first year wedding anniversary in the lovely Wales and we loved every minute of it. The proximity to the wild Wales, the yurt was tasteful and cozy, we had plenty of wood to make it nice and warm. The interior decor was rustic and tasteful which gave it an oriental feel. The hosts were very pleasant and friendly. They cooked us lovely meals. All in one of you want to enjoy a different holiday where you can be free and relaxed this is for you.

    • Really cosy and lovely yurt! It was such an interesting trip that felt like an adventure into the wilderness of Wales. Everything is clean, plenty of amenities in the kitchen, bathroom is clean and hot water and powerful shower. We were a couple in the smaller yurt and had loads of room. We were there in the snow and the fire kept us warm plenty and lots of other blankets provided.

We really enjoyed our break and Nathan and Shayne couldn’t do enough to make sure we were comfortable. It’s cool being off the grid as all electricity is created there, just make sure electricals that you take are kind of eco friendly.

    • Shayne and Nathan's yurt is in a stunning location, so peaceful and quiet, a real treat to have no road noise! The hosts are on hand, but totally respectful of our privacy, we felt like we had our very own bit of Welsh mountain. The yurt , cabin and bathroom were all spotless and really well equipped, it was really easy to cook tasty meals both in the kitchen and on the fire outside. Loved it and hope to be back, thank you!

    • A fabulous few days getaway! It was quiet and secluded, all the facilities needed in a humble and unpretentious way, welcoming host, very helpful and kind. Great location for looking around the local area, walking, running and just relaxing. The yurt is very cosy with the gorgeous little woodburner lit, you can buy logs or collect your own from the forest. Cook in the little outside kitchen or BBQ. Great wifi for keeping in touch and the best ever loo with a view!

    • Our stay was perfectly timed for a nice warm Easter weekend. We were greeted by Shayne who was very attentive and made us feel at home. The yurt is lovely, just exactly what you expect, with nice views. What we really enjoyed was the birdsong, a range of finches but also woodpeckers, cuckoo and even a sighting of a sparrowhawk. There are some resident Pheasant families that will keep you amused for hours. Considering this is off grid it didn't feel like it in that electricity and wifi were good, the kitchen facilities spotless and the shower I have to say was beautifully hot and exceeded expectations when you consider everything is generated on site.

The location is high in the hills but a perfect base for travelling out. We went to Bala, Pwllheli, Rhyl, Chirk, Chester and Llangollen all in the space of a weekend and still had plenty of time left to chill out.

And for those worried about warmth in a yurt don't be. We did have a warm weekend but we still lit the woodburner in the evening, it is amazingly simple to use and gives a really satisfying warmth at bed time.
