    • We had the most incredible 3 days at Nathan and Shayne's yurt. We were utterly spoilt with time 'off the grid'...we enjoyed endless hours of nothing :-)
We were thrilled with the accommodation, the bed was super comfortable and the place got toasty with the log burner. The yurt is totally private and we felt like we had given ourselves the gift of time, peace, tranquility and being present.
We enjoyed the alfresco cooking and dining, and found the temperatures outside were simply perfect for chilling beer and wine!
The surrounding landscape is so special, we were greeted each morning with bird song and went to sleep under a blanket or stars.
Hands down the best 'loo with a view'!!
The location is great for local sites (although we didn't actually budge...apart from a trip into the village for fish and chips one evening!)

We couldn't have asked for more...
Nathan was the most fabulous host, offering us a warm welcome and chatting to us with genuine interest and re-igniting a passion in us for the great outdoors.
Thank you for making wood available to purchase at an extremely low rate so that we could enjoy indoor and outdoor fires.
We are going to really miss it and will definitely be returning!!!

    • This is a wonderful place to experience. We have wanted to come here for nearly two year and we finally managed to book a weekend away for our anniversary. It was everything we needed and more ! The views and surroundings are magical. Listening to the birds all day was soothing. The sunsets were great. We went here to celebrate our anniversary and it was a weekend we will have in our memory for a long time. The yurt had so many hippy vibes which was great ! This is definitely a place to get some tranquilty and stillness. We went here a day before lockdown and it was everything we needed. So thankyou! ❤ x x

    • Out of this world!

We booked to stay at the yurt as a break from our busy and hectic lives. Needless to say, waking up every morning to the trickling sound of the stream, crackling embers fading from the fire and the smells of the forest made for more of a break than we ever imagined!

We arrived after spending the day bike riding through Coed-Y-Brenin, a forest around 50 minutes from the yurt, which we thoroughly recommend to all riding abilities! Nathan and Shayne were both so helpful and friendly, welcoming us to their home and showing us around the yurt, kitchen and dining areas, bathroom and fire areas and giving us lots of great ideas for our stay. We weren't aware that there is another, larger yurt also on site which can house up to 8 people. Luckily there were only 2 others in the other yurt, otherwise sharing the kitchen and bathroom could've created quite a queue! Hopefully the plans for building an additional kitchen/bathroom will help this.

Inside our yurt, we had a small wood burner that Nathan and Shayne kindly provided the wood for which heated the room perfectly. There was also a large sofa which could've been pulled out into another bed, and one of the comfiest double beds we’ve ever slept in! Memory foam mattress, down quilt and springy pillows! We also had at least 5 extra blankets and throws in a small cupboard which we used for sitting outside.

Outside the yurt we were provided with 2 seated hammocks and a large lie down hammock which 2 of us slept in together very comfortably one evening by the warmth of the fire!

All in all, we had a fabulous time and will definitely be returning! A brilliant place to visit for a quiet, relaxing break.

    • I stayed here for three nights with my wife and our two small dogs. It was my 65th birthday weekend and I wanted something a bit different for the special occasion. The property is easy to find and in a really accessible location, but still away from it all. We had everything we needed to make our weekend very comfortable. The adjoining kitchen / dining room is very well equipped and very roomy. Plenty of storage space and food preparation surfaces. The shower room / WC has everything you need. The highlight of the stay though was the yurt. Plenty of room for two humans plus two hounds. And, when the wood-burning stove was lit, it was really warm and cosy. We experienced three cold nights there, but the stove kept us very comfortable. The immediate area has lots of good walks to keep the dogs happy. And, the Blue Lion down the hill in Cynwyd makes an excellent Sunday roast. It's dog-friendly too in the bar area. We are pleased to see how Nathan and Shayne have developed their property to make it very eco-friendly and off-the-grid. We both appreciate making minimal impact in our holiday choices and this property certainly ticked all the boxes for us. I can certainly recommend this property and hope to return again in the near future. Thank you Nathan and Shayne!!

    • A lovely remote place to feel refreshed and relaxed. Great location with plenty of local walks and very easy to access somewhere a bit of a drive away.
Sooo cosy and great to be off grid for a while.
