    • We had an amazing 3 night stay in Nathan and Shayne’s yurt! Nathan gave us a warm welcome and tour on our arrival. We were blown away by the scenery surrounding the yurt and how self sufficient everything was. We’ve stayed in a few yurts before, but found this one really had all the amenities spot on! The kitchen, shower and toilet are on your door step, the fire pit and bbq are in a nice private area (also right beside the yurt) and the main log cabin has practically everything you can think of kitchen wise. We had plenty rain during our stay, but the yurt stayed warm and cosy, especially with the wood burner (Nathan was also extremely accommodating when we asked to buy extra logs). We did walks to liberty hall and the waterfall, both handy walks from the yurt. The yurt itself was extremely spacious and had lots of lovely touches. Couldn’t recommend more. Even in bad weather! We hope to come back. Christine and Paul

    • We had a wonderful weekend away is this fabulous yurt. The location is perfect and simply peaceful. Nathan was a brilliant host. Excellent communication and the yurt was exactly as advertised. The log fire ensured we were cosy at night. Sitting out on the deck in the evening is just tranquil; the stars are so bright. We did lots of walking around the local area. Thanks for the tips and the use of your map. We will certainly recommend to friends and will be back ourselves sometime soon. Thanks for a fabulous weekend break. • Myself and my partner spent a few days just after Christmas this place, and it was a wonderful experience. We have strong traditional connections to Yurts and also had the chance to have a look at Shayne & Nathan's cob house. My partner grew up in a cob house, and I fond of history and art, so this place was a perfect choice to reconnect our background, wind down, spend night next to the fire, in a cosy yurt, having a good bottle of wine and wonderful conversations. We truly experienced what it means slowing down (especially it was still in the short, dark winter days) and pay more attention to the details.

The yurt was so cosy, with plenty of spare blankets, lovely light and craftsmanship. The location is beautiful, the spot is nice and private. It was pretty rainy and windy, but the yurt stood these well and felt absolutely safe inside - but not separated from nature.

We came by bus and walked up from the village to the location. It is uphill, so be prepared if you have the same idea, but it is definitely not too much, just a good exercise starting your adventure. Follow the instructions, and when you see the wind turbine and the yurts, you can be sure you are at the right place!

We hope to come back soon again,

    • From the moment we got there Nathan and Shayne made us feel at home and whilst giving us our own space, were around if we needed anything. Willing to provide any knick-knacks (maps, eggs etc) we needed, I came away from our weekend away knowing I'd met some lovely people.
The yurt was brilliantly clean, comfortable, well maintained and a consistently good temperature. We took our dog along for the weekend away and she had a ball with all the outdoor space and sheep to stalk!
The location is close to lots of tourist attractions and we came away wishing we'd spent longer so we could have explored more of the local area. (Bala lake was wonderful to explore!).
Where the yurt really stands out as a place to stay is the views. The views are wonderful and watching the sunset over the woods and forest was transcendent.
I couldn't recommend staying with Shayne and Nathan enough. It was our first wedding anniversary and it was romantic, different and really well priced.

    • Both made us feel more than welcome, left us to do or own thing but were there if we needed anything. Everything esd catered to our needs, and the the setting was incredible. It was a magical place to come and relax for a few days. The weather was awful, but didn't stop us having an amazing time. The hammock chairs were a particular favourite of mine. Thanks for everything, hope to be busting again asap!!!! Steph and Matt x
