    • We have just enjoyed a perfect two night stay in the yurt and did not want to leave!

The accomdation was exactly as described, but the experience was better than we could have hoped for!

The bed is incredibly comfortable and the duvet seems to be be magic; keeping you snuggly warm at night when the log burner has died down and it's really cold outside. The log burner does an excellent job of keeping the yurt warm; without it, an Autumn/Winter stay would be difficult. The space inside the yurt is good, clean and decorated in a cosy and vibrant way as can be seen from the pictures. We enjoyed closing the door of an evening and sitting on the sofa with a glass of wine and a good book.

We are not massively outdoorsy types, so to have the ability to charge a phone and connect to some wifi (on an intermittent basis) in the yurt was useful. Although, we really enjoyed being away from it all (the aim of the trip) and the simplicity of life in the yurt. It was also nice to have a toilet and outdoor shower to yourself. The shower really is warm and it's not every day you get to shower outdoors surrounded by hens, cows and birds! It's a very short dash back to the yurt and its warmth where you can dry near the fire. Delightful!

The kitchen has all the essentials for a short stay. It was useful to stay in the colder months as the food kept chilled outside in a cool box. We were lucky enough to receive 4 freshly laid eggs from our delightful feathered nextdoor neighbours, which Nathan kindly gave to us!

The decking area outside the yurt (which can be shielded from any rain and wind (although we didn't have any luckily) by clear plastic drapes) is lovely for sitting on to eat breakfast, etc. You often get to eat with a view of cows in the field directly in front of you. There are two lovely swinging chairs and a hammock and its great for watching the sunset.

Whilst you are a couple of hundred metres from Nathan and Shayne's home, you do not feel as though there is anyone but you and the yurt in the hills! Nathan could not have been anymore the perfect host. Before and during our stay, Nathan went out of his way to accomodate us, suggesting walks and loaning us a compass and map to allow us to navigate our way around. The yurt is perfectly located for easy access to a range of walks of varying difficulty. Nathan offered to help with whatever we needed but left us to enjoy our time.

We would highly recommend a stay of any length here and are desperate to return already! Monday morning in the office isn't quite the same as in the yurt!

Thank you for a wonderful stay.

    • Met with a very warm welcome into a beautiful location, we were given a mini tour and had a little explanation of how all the amenities needed were supplied off grid. Impeccably clean!! Such and well throughout place, having the feeling of being outside of the night but with all the homely comforts!

      We will be back again!
      Thank you!

    • We had a fantastic stay in the yurt, and can’t wait to return! Stunning, peaceful location on the edge of the forest, with waterfalls and hiking paths on your doorstep. The facilities are outstanding: a very well-equipped kitchen, delightful hot shower, wifi, and fire pits. Shayne was a warm host, giving us plenty of local advice. Thank you!
