We had a lovely time here. Shayne & Nathan are lovely and helpful hosts with clear knowledge on the local area with lots of suggestions of what you can do in the area. We loved the suggested walk we went on and we visited a local waterfall as suggested which was beautiful. All in all, we had a great experience here and have already recommend the place to put friends and family. Thank you for having us :)

I have had the great pleasure in spending a night at Ty Mam Mawr and also running a weekend retreat there.
I whole heartedly recommend this place for both time away and holding a retreat.
The environment is gorgeous and secluded with a beautiful forest walk and open fields right near by.
The yurts are a true delight to sleep in with ideal decor to match your get away in nature.
Shayne & Nathan the owners are some of the most wonderful people I have ever met and so accommodating. If you want to be on your own doing your own thing they leave you to it or if you want to engage in some loving conversation they are all ears with wise words to share.

I will be back again and again for the whole experience they have provided. I honestly am so happy I found Ty Mam Mawr.

This place is stunning. The yurt sits 400m above a sleepy Welsh village called Cynwyd. We arrived in the evening and woke up to gorgeous views, all covered in snow. Our hosts made sure we had everything we needed, and firewood was cheap and readily available for the stove in our yurt, keeping our stay cosy. Only a short 50 minute drive to Snowdonia national park, I fully recommend this as a place to stay if you'd like to climb Snowdon. Will definitely come back.

Thank you so very much for our lovely stay in Wales, it was absolutely perfect and beyond exceeded our expectations! The Yurt was exactly like the photos, if not better in real life! The shower/toilet/kitchen block was clean and easy to use. Amazing location, right up in the mountain - if you are seeking a place to escape city life, this is the one for you!! Can’t wait to book and come and stay again! ✨

Nathan was a great host, very helpful and responsive. He lent us maps and gave us plenty of suggestions of things to do. The yurt itself was fantastic, very cosy with the fire and amazing location and views - a very enjoyable experience.
