Shayne met us on arrival and we talked and met throughout the weekend. We couldn’t have asked for a warmer, friendlier host. Shayne also gave some good advice on the local walks, as well as amenities, which were very useful and saved us some time on a quick weekend visit. The yurt was as per the photos, and had lovely views into the hills. The log burner meant we could stay warm even though we had a little snow. Definitely keep plenty of kindling and fire lighters so it’s easy to start again if it burns out during the night. Nice space for an outdoor fire pit too. It all added to a nice ‘outdoorsy’ weekend away. The kitchen area was very well equipped and you could easily prepare and cook a good meal in there if you wish. Shared bathroom and shower facilities were available, which were clean and warm. The local Indian restaurant food was very nice and worth a visit if eating out. The area is very pretty and also remote, which was ideal for a get-away break. Thanks for your hospitality.

Well, another blissful weekend at the Yurts. This time we had the weather with us and it was perfect- sunny and blowy, with chilly nights. Perfect yurt weather and Cynwyd weather as the walks through the woods and up by the waterfall are beautiful. As before, the yurts were equipped with logs, blankets and cushions for a cosy time In the evenings and everything was spotlessly clean. We were in the big yurt this time and it was fabulous. So much room. Very comfortable beds, a piping hot three way shower and well equipped kitchen makes it top glamping. Unforgettable and soooo relaxing.

I just held a breathwork and shamanic healing retreat at Ty Mam Mawr and it was a beautiful experience beginning to end.

This review almost feels like I'm cheating writing a good review for two extremely good friends, that's how well we were welcomed and the depth of our connection to Shayne and Nathan over the course of the weekend.

The location is absolutely gorgeous. The yurts are really cool and cosy. The round house is an energetic bubble with the vibe of a really sacred space.

Shayne and Nathan are two of the most pleasant, loving, funny and authentic people I've ever met. I'm definitely coming back to see them. Friends for life no matter the distance.

Driving up the narrow road, you can feel a serenity envelope you, letting you let go of daily life, switching off into escape mode. You pull up to hear nature, see glorious greens, and take in the beauty.
check-in was easy, "our Gert" (yert) was all open. Just let yourself in.
inside a rainbow of colours, fabrics, fairy lights, a very zen feeling. we lit the log burner with the wood provided, exolored the amenities, the kitchen is fantastic had everything you need. The same goes for the bathroom. It's a nice hot shower. The bathroom is a little tired in places in comparison to photos, but that is just rustic glamping. Everything works.
we made smores on the wooden decking, enjoyed the view from the hammock, and had a wander into the trees, such a beautiful landscape.
from here, we explored Braunton, and we highly recommend beautiful little costal towns, sandy beaches only an hours drive away. we drove just over an hour to Llandudno, taking a ride on the old tram, up to the sumit.

Absolutely brilliant stay in the most beautiful surroundings. Been to Wales many years ago and had forgotten what a wonderfully amazing part of the world Wales is. So green, full of valleys. Loveeeeeedddddd the yurt, the location, amenities (you thought of everything), the marshmallows around the fire watching the sunset. gorgeous walks on your doorstep. You made us feel so welcome and comfortable. We will be booking to come again with family and also with girlfriends. So wonderful to be reminded of the importance of positive well being, self reflection and connection to nature. We both hit the pause button and returned home feeling energised.
