Ty Mam Mawr is a perfect haven, set in stunning land scape nestled in a valley. I recently attended a Bioenergetics shaking retreat there; Shayne and Nathan made perfect hosts for a weekend where we all mucked in together; super relaxed and easy to get along with, over seeing us and also pointing us in the right direction for walks and wild swims in rivers and reservoirs. The round house, made out of natural materials made a wonderful place for meditations and inner reflection work. I'm already looking forward to the next weekend planned in November.....hope to see you there!

what an amazing place. we are a group of young at heart mature ladies, who were in the area for an out door swimming event. we are always looking something different but value for money. we defiantly found this at Shayne and Nathan's place.

The yurt is amazing and very true to the photos. It is spacious, well equipped and warm. we lit the wood burner but then had to open the door to cool us down. ( what a waste)
It was had amazing natural light from the window in the centre of the roof.

The kitchen area is well equipment with every thing you need to cook what ever takes your fancy from a light snack to a three course meal.

The toilet facilities are interesting you have a choice of the traditional flush toilet or the composting toilet if you want to embrace the full ethos of Shayne and Nathan's place. We were pleasantly surprised by the composting toilet.

The location is really back to nature bird singing from dawn to dust, no light pollution and stunning views.

It is approximately a mile down a fairly steep hill in to the village. There is a pub in the village but no were to have a meal. We went to The Berwyn Restaurant in Llandrillo which was an excellent meal at a reasonable price. you will need to book and drive or get a taxi there as it about 4 miles away on a B road which has no pavements. You will need to book.

Shayne and Nathan were helpful through out the booking process and our stay.

Need a reboot? This is the place…A stunning, peaceful and idyllic space that Shayne and Nathan have lovingly created. It reflects the surrounding beauty of the Welsh countryside, combining great eco values with comfort and detail to make sure you have a memorable stay. Highly recommend this place.

What an idyllic, special place Ty Mam Mawr is! The perfect place to retreat, to unwind and reconnect with nature and the land. Shayne and Nathan are the most hospitable, generous and authentic people I know and pour their love into everything they offer here. The yurts, cabins and roundhouse are stunning and so relaxing. You are truly in the heart of Welsh nature and it is so good for the soul! Highly recommend. Thank you for creating this amazing off grid eco retreat haven Shayne and Nathan. XXX
