This is the second time we stayed here and, just as expected, we had a fantastic time. Our daily adventures in the local forests ended with a hearty BBQ in the idyllic setting, then a cosy fire in the gorgeous yurt. Perfect!! Shayne and Nathan are breath of fresh air - down to earth, friendly and extremely helpful. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you! - 17 Jul 2020

We stayed here on the coldest , snowiest nights of the year and it was incredible!
We had to walk up the 1 mile path to the yurt because it was so icey but it was quite fun. Once we got there, Nathan met us and showed us round, everything we could need was either in the kitchen or yurt.
The yurt itself heated up really well and we were never really cold until the morning , but once we started it again it was fine!
Everything about the stay was really cosy and lovely and Nathan and Shayne were really communicative and helpful.
Thanks for a great stay, would definitely come again! Xx - 13 Dec 2017

What an amazing place to stay! We stayed in the smaller yurt, plenty big enough for both of us with lovely outside space and our own fire pit. Beautiful bed linen and wall hangings inside and fairy lights which added to the cozy ness along with the log burner. Fully equipped spotlessly clean kitchen in the log cabin next door. Didn’t get to meet Shayne unfortunately but Nathan is a great host. Very hospitable and up for a chat. They have a beautiful place up there in the forest and will most certainly be going back but for longer next time! Would highly recommend these beautiful yurts in the middle of nature. - 21 Oct 2018

Highly recommened this booking! We found it cosy even at night despite minus temperatures thanks to the wood burners so dont let the time of year put you off.
On arrival the yurts and kitchen were very clean and the lovely hosts were always available if needed but allowed us pur privacy. Personally the best part of the experience was the most beautiful walks without the need for a car to get there. The children loved the friendly dogs the most and enjoying being with the family in the evening playing games. The place has something for everyone! - 05 Jan 2019

Nathan's a great host and was more than happy to provide us with any information we needed about the local area. The yurt is in a great location. It's private and all you can see around you are pine forests and rolling hills. We stayed here for two nights in late September. It was bliss on a sunny autumn morning, lying in the hammock on the decking with only the birdsong for company. A true escape from the city!
Would definitely come back. - 03 Oct 2016

The place really has that magical feel about it. Outstanding everything.
Nathan welcomed us as soon as we arrived with a warm and welcoming encounter. Incredibly approachable guy who made us feel so at home.
The yurt itself was a thing of beauty, bright and spacious.
Lovely hot showers, bbq facilities with fully functioning kitchen.
The surrounds are breathtaking. Sheep, chickens, ruby the dog all just added to the magic. The walk to the waterfall was lovely too, only a short distance from the yurt. Easy access to snowdonia too.
All in all a unique, 5 star experience.
Unforgettable. - 11 Sep 2019

What a magical little place this is. Truly beautiful spot with stunning views and gorgeous woodland to explore. The yurt is so cosy and welcoming, we also enjoyed a bit of mediating in the round house which is built next to the yurts- a very lovely, peaceful space.
Nathan was there to give us a warm welcome on arrival, we felt very at home and didn't want to leave! Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to get away from the bustle and come back to nature. - 06 Mar 2022

We were two familes of four that booked the two Yurts for a 3 night stay over the new year period, and we enjoyed every second of it! What an absolutly fanstastic place to stay. The House manual is very thorough but all common sensse, as seasoned campers weren't put off. There are a few things to think about as the site is completley off grid, but all things that are considerate to conserve enery and the environment.
The Yurts are amazing and extremly compfortable and to wood stoves heat them up so quickly to the point of us stripping off and opening the door in the middle of winter. The beds are very comfortable and there seems to a be a nice relaxing calm that decents when yoa are inside the Yurts. The cabin with range size cooker and all the tools you need was a nice extra and the table comfortable sat all 8 of us round for our meals. The Cabin also has a toilet and shower which is also a nice luxury when staying in the outdoors. I however prefered to fully emerse myself in the experience and opted for the Sawdust toilet.
Nathan was a fantasict host who generally left us to it, however was there if we needed. He offered some great advice about the local area and a walk upto the the 'Liberty Bell' which covered many different terrains and caused lots of laughs when we expected a fully funtioning hunting lodge where we could maybe have a pint and it ended up being just the ruins of the old building. We also ventureed to Bala for a walk round the beautiful lake new years day and the sun was shining so we all went in for a paddle but all ended up wet through. We all returned to dry out rpound the fire pit while toasting marshmellows.
All in all both adults and children loved every minuite of our time there and will be booking for another long weekend in the summer. If your considering this i's say just book it and enjoy. - 02 Jan 2020

Most relaxing break ever, we will be back. Shared kitchen is excellent and shower/toilet spotless.
Loved the yurt, warm, cosy and comfy on the frosty cold first night.
Lucky to get a sunny Saturday in Wales and I just wanted to sit and swing in the hammock chair 🙂
Fell in love with the chucks too! I felt right at home in this beautiful spot. The outdoor spaces are excellent.

Myself and my partner enjoyed the perfect Christmas in the yurt. Nathan was there to meet us in arrival and was very friendly & helpful. The yurt was as described, and then some, and the surroundings were even more stunning, and peaceful than we had hoped. Even storm Barbara's best efforts could not stop the yurt from being the perfect warm & cosy haven away from the usual Christmas madness. To this end, the addition of the timber sides on the decking (not pictured on the airbnb site) were very welcome! The cooking facilities & stove enabled me to whip up a successful, if somewhat alternative, Christmas dinner and the toilet facilities were very clean & functional. Although Nathan & Shayne's house is but a stone's throw away, the positioning of the yurt really did make us feel that we were in our own private hideaway, whilst all the while knowing that if we did need anything that we could take Nathan up on his offer to pop up to the house anytime. Our stay here was without doubt the most relaxing 3 day break we have ever had and we would highly recommend Nathan & Shayne's lovely little corner of the world to anybody who wants to get away from it all (p.s the wifi is very quick and reliable just in case you do need to contact the outside world). Thank you Nathan & Shayne for hosting our best Christmas yet, we will be back!! - 26 Dec 2016
