- RyanLovely location as you drive up the road and your ears starts to go as you climb the mountain to the yurt. The yurt was cosy and clean, plenty of plug sockets to charge your phones etc. Log cabin had all kitchen items you would need and bathroom was clean. It’s so quiet, great escape away from the hustle and bustle! There’s a Spar shop in Cynwyd that’s down the road If you need. Nathan the host was great always replied and very helpful . We didn’t get a clear night sky when we were there but I imagine it would be great as there’s no light pollution. Just be mindful this time of year the views are slightly blocked by the blooming trees and bushes ! Highly recommend, thanks Nathan ! - 01 Jul 2025read moreread less
- Naomi HuxleyWonderful place We had such a fantastic time. The hosts were just lovely and very helpful. The place has everything you need. The yurt is beautiful and surprisingly warm. The children had a wonderful time playing in the field. It's so peaceful and relaxing we loved listening to the birds drinking hot chocolate around a fire . - 27 May 2025read moreread less
- Sarah-LeeWe had a wonderful stay in the big yurt. This was our little boy’s first camping experience and he was beside himself with excitement. We had everything we needed and lots of space and privacy. The views were wonderful. It was also really great that we got to teach him about eco-living. He loved the compost toilet - it was all a big adventure. We saw sheep, pheasants, bats, lots of birds including birds of prey, cuckoos, and woodpeckers. We are really grateful for such a wonderful weekend in a magic place! - 27 Apr 2025read moreread lessIsaacIt's a beautiful place to stay with great amenities and a very friendly vibe.
Everything was very clear with a lot of detailed instructions so there was no confusion about anything.
The only thing I overlooked when booking was if there was a secure place to keep our belongings during the stay. We ended up just keeping them in the car if we weren't in the Yurt, but it didn't impact the trip at all, just something to keep in mind. - 27 Apr 2025read moreread less - Nathan williamsLoved our stay. Absolutely lovely stay!!! Loved the yurt. Loved the facilities. Everything we needed was there. Nathan was very responsive when we needed kindling early in the morning and came to the rescue straight away (sorry about that 😜). Even the dog loved her stay!!!! So relaxing and peaceful. Thank you. We will be back!! - 18 Apr 2025read moreread less
- PeriLovely stay for my sisters 30th. Very responsive reply’s and helpful.
Very clean and lots of space. Kitchen was great for supplies and a hang out.
Gorgeous surroundings and lots of stuff too do. Nathan recommended the Grouse in which was great for a roast dinner, we did this on the way home.
Came from Liverpool and the drive was perfect, very chilled.
Great for a retreat kind of holiday which we did, Nathan offered to let us use the roundhouse for yoga one morning which was absolutely gorgeous and was perfect for our needs!
Thank you very much - 06 Apr 2025read moreread less -
- FinnHad a great four day stay. In the middle of Feb so was very cold in the mornings, but the wood stove was more than enough to warm the yurt in the evenings. Plenty of space to ourselves, and lots of beautiful walks and other villages nearby. Just lovely being out in the middle of nowhere. Reachable by public transport (but not sundays), but does need a fair 30 minute uphill trek. Highly recommend! - 16 Feb 2025read moreread lessHeatherStayed for 4 nights in February so weather wasn’t the best but the yurt was lovely and warm and relaxing. The place is actually even nicer than the photos, there is everything you need in the kitchen, lovely hot shower and everything was spotless. Would thoroughly recommend it for a peaceful break. - 12 Feb 2025read moreread less
- HiraWe had a lovely last minute weekend getaway and the host was very responsive allowing us to book the place last minute. We loved being in nature on the doorstep of a forest. Lovely walks around. Kitchen is massive and fully stocked. The yurt is so cosy once the log burner works its magic. Host was very kind of let us have a pack of logs for free😉 we had an amazing time hopefully will be back in summer💕 - 20 Jan 2025read moreread less
- CalvinLovely venue, Nathan and Shayne were incredibly helpful during our visit and the Yurt itself was lovely. If I had a gripe with it it would be the small amount of logs/kindling included. Extra's can be purchased but these work out quite alot more expensive than popping to the local shop.
Would visit again, In a lovely area too!! - 05 Jan 2025read moreread less - RachelTotally secluded & remote spot. The yurt is an incredible structure & super cosy (we stayed in November) The cob round house is stunning. It's obvious that a lot of graft has gone into planning and creating this space - respect to Shayne & Nathan for their amazing efforts there.
Bit of advice if you're planning a trip here... the hosts send a link to a video on how everything works (off-grid & eco), it's a long video but try to watch it through to the end because it explains how to get hot water, then you won't be having a cold shower, like me! (the hot water works fine, I'm just an idiot) - 06 Nov 2024read moreread lessRachelTotally secluded & remote spot. - LukeWe had an absolutely gorgeous stay at Shayne and Nathan's yurt! The location is absolutely stunning, photos don't do it justice.
The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you could need and we had no problem at all with any of the amazing off-grid systems. Everything was perfectly clean and comfortable, and perfect for me, my husband and our dog Lucy.
We had some beautiful walks and being 20 weeks pregnant I loved falling asleep in the hammock on the decking! Would love to visit your beautiful home again one day, thank you both for a beautiful relaxing stay! 🙂 x - 14 Oct 2024read moreread lessLynseyFantastic find, very peaceful, quite and quaint, just want we wanted, when the fire was on the yurt was very comfortable and toasty. Star gazing was magical as no light pollution could see everything constellation,
No need to set alarms here and the pheasants wake you up around 7:30 is which was lovely to listen to with a morning coffee in the crisp Welsh air
Very responsive hosts, always messaged back quickly, very clear instructions to find the yurts, couldn’t have asked for anything more.
Thank you
Lynsey - 13 Oct 2024read moreread less - JordynWe've just got back from a weekend away here and the scenery/location was fab! Exactly what we wanted for our relaxed getaway and we got very lucky with the weather too which is a plus!
There isn't much if anything to complain about really, we just wish the lights of the porch of the yurt worked as it would of been nice to sit out there past dark. Even if they are just for effect, it would of been nice to have that experience.
Also when it gets dark, it's pitch black so make sure to take plenty of light sources to help get you to the bathroom at night time. - 06 Oct 2024read moreread lessLynsey BallFantastic find, very peaceful, quite and quaint, just want we wanted, when the fire was on the yurt was very comfortable and toasty. Lynsey - 01 Oct 2024read moreread lessTheoWe had an excellent weekend staying in one of Shayne and Nathan's yurts, situated in a tranquil Welsh valley. Our only suggestion would be to rethink the quantity of pre-arrival info guests are required to engage with. There's over 2,000 words for the guest rules, which is also accompanied by a 30 minute intro video. The rules are all very reasonable and fair, but having to engage with that amount of info felt a bit excessive for a 2 night stay! Otherwise one of the best glamping experiences we've had so far -- thank you. - 29 Sep 2024read moreread less
